It's been awhile since I have drawn Link and I know I have improved alot since then.This is a redrawn of another picture in my gallery: Hylian Link . This was created in May 2009
Heres the comparison. I should do that Before and After Meme. Lol.
I love his Twilight Princess version.

If I had to guess, I'd say the scientific term for a Hylian is Homo hylius, which explains why Midna refer calls both Hylians and humans "humans". I'm using the same logic as Mario being Homo nintendonus (whatever the common name is, probably human)
