Description
This is supposed to be Link from A Link to the Past, but i have no idea what alttp fans consider good fanart. I hope this is acceptable .-. I've actually only played a tiny bit of alttp, in the first temple i think. Its so hard for me O.O, older zelda games are so difficult!I actually am super super proud of this. It's probably the best thing I've ever drawn digitally. Took forever too .-.
There's a version on my tumblr with a background, but its a crap background bc that's the hardest thing for me... so have a transparent link!

I'm an ALTTP fan, and I find this precious! The only thing I would do different is add a but of color (blush) on the tips of his ears too.
ALTTP!Link is a very bashful and modest guy, and the pose you put him in really conveys that! ^.^
Good job!
(Also, yes; old Zelda games are very difficult. But they're very engaging! You have to have your own sense of exploration though, because there's not as many "fences" trying to get you to do this and do that, like in the newer Zeldas, which are very very planned.)

Ahhh, thank you a lot! That's exactly what I was trying to show, actually, thanks for saying so ^^* He seems the most bashful of them all in my opinion.
(And yes I noticed that, but plot direction isn't really my problem.. I died literally four times before I even got to the dungeon of Hyrule Castle. [such a reliable hero...] I couldn't figure out how to work the shield, its so hard to line up exactly /sigh)

(Ah, I see. I always forget I have a shield haha. If I might ask, are you playing it on the snes, or...? The the controls are difficult on other systems in my opinion.)
Yes, he is quite a bit more bashful, if you've ever read the manga or the comic.

hhhh no, I don't have a snes, sadly. I got it for virtual console on my wii u; it's the only way i could play it. Shield doesn't have a control does it? Just automatic?
I should definitely read more of the mangas. I've only ever read the Four Swords one. Which are the best?

The four swords one is the best, but ALTTP comes in pretty close. Link is such a sweet heart in it too.
Although you won't find it listed under the name A Link to the Past, but rather under the Japanese tittle "Triforce of the Gods."
The art style used in the ALTTP manga is actually my favorite of Akira Himekawa's.
The art style used in the oracle books are also very nice, though I don't think I've gotten around to reading the two of them yet. (I lost the one I was in, I actually think it may have been the oracle of seasons... )
They're really great, you should read them.
I don't remember exactly. The last I played it it was last year or so, trying to teach my little sister how to play it on the Wii. It's been ages since I played it on the SNES, but I think you control the shield...
Although, since you haven't reached the dungeon, Link may be set to auto-shield because he doesn't have a sword. I think he does always hold it up in front of him, but there was a way you could make him thrust it out so it'd protect him.
...Ahh, I feel so nostalgic now. I should play it again. I miss my uncle's SNES and all those summer rainy days where'd I stay in and play it with a cup of warm soup. Good times, great times.
Oh, look at that. I'm rambling a bit, sorry
Anyways. The old Zeldas are very difficult, but don't give up!
And by the way, if you ever need to practice drawing or coloring or something, you should draw a classic Zelda to go with this Link! I think she'd just be a doll in your art style!

I'll definitely try to look into it then ^^ Though if you lost your actual book, you could always look it up online. Online manga do get kind of irritating after a while though, as you have to keep clicking to turn the page and wait for it to load
I have reached the dungeon, Link definitely has a sword. I believe I am in the first temple now I think. The one in the East (I'm so bad at names omg )
Nahh, nostalgia is a great feeling, don't apologize for it~ I might indeed have to draw classic Zelda too, but do you mean alttp zelda to match this, or the even older zelda with red hair?

I could read it online, but I'm a funny lady that prefers to buy them. Not sure why, though. I guess I've just always liked paper books more than digital books.
I'm bad at names too, don't feel bad. I'm awful when it come to helping people too, but it sounds like you're making progress! Congrats! I hope you do well now that you've got a sword!
I tend to refer to anything pre-oot as classic, my bad. What I mean was ALTTP!Zelda, but I also think you'd make Redhead Zelda a sweet look too! <3 either one, Link would be sweet with a companion.
