Description
This is Stellatus as he was at 90 Tempuses old, when he invented the hyperdrive, and shortly before he started slowly mechanizing himself as his body started to fail. Okcilians tend to mutate in a variety of ways as they get older and eye color mutations that create heterochromia are a fairly common example. In this case, this has happened with Stellatus. Their flesh also becomes more fragile. Prior to middle age, they can regenerate many entire body parts if those parts are torn off and they survive (though obviously not the brain).
At this point, Stellatus is most of the way through his natural lifespan. Does he really care? Sort of, but only because it is going to be annoying to bypass this limitation. Stellatus doesn't choose to be immortal due purely to arrogance though. He still feels very much alive and he has a peculiar set of mutations that makes him continually get sharper with age. His intellect is still expanding enormously and he is more so in his prime than he was in the previous picture because his nerves are continually getting stronger, despite the rest of his body weakening. His reflexes are still improving, his mind is going ever faster, and is still quite far from running out of ideas. At this point, aside from his big inventions like the hyperdrive that he invents only when potent inspiration strikes, he usually just hangs out at his house, which is a gigantic, well-armed spaceship that he built and designed everything in, and invents whatever he needs to to do whatever he feels like doing at that time.
Despite this, almost everyone loves his stuff so much that he is still the richest of all Okcilians. However, he generally loathes almost anyone else who is in his socioeconomic class. His mech fighting friends, who he sometimes fights crime with when summoned in high level emergencies, are all of the middle class or upper middle class. He could easily make them rich, but he wants them to remain themselves, though he will sometimes get them out of bad financial situations if needed. He rarely spends much money on manufactured goods because he can just buy the raw resources he needs to make and design whatever he wants. He finds this to be more fun and rewarding. Despite this, he is actually very generous towards those he cares about. Despite feeling superior to authority to the point where he always keeps his ship armed with weapons superior than theirs, Stellatus actually usually stays to himself and his close-knit friend group aside from when he is presenting his inventions. For holidays and birthdays, Stellatus usually makes something relatively small, but rather impressive for each of his friends that he urges them not to sell. This is usually a rather impressive sculpture with a particular function.
Despite his immense intellect and compassion at this point, Stellatus still usually lets the leaders of his class that he loathes do their thing, saying that he doesn't want to fix the entirety of society and wouldn't be in any real position to do so. He still shows them very little respect though. However, once in a while, he will force them into backing off in some way or another on something if it starts to affect his friends adversely. This makes it really mean something for him to actually react to these things. Stellatus generally does not share any intimate details of his life with the public, so only his friends and those close to them even explicitly know the identities of his friend group. He uses his technology to prevent anyone from constantly monitoring him with them or him in general, though he usually spends time in secluded or obscure areas and cloaks his ships. His hat actually contains a signal jammer that he can turn on if needed. It also works on hypersignals. He also ensures their identities aren't known when they are fighting crime. Only his is known. He does this to ensure their safety and to prevent himself from getting blackmailed. He doesn't make it easy to contact him and only high level law enforcement and inventing companies know how to reach him other than his friends. He does have a professional website where he announces and describes his inventions, but it does not have a contact address or a comments section. Many also note how archaic the layout is because of the site's age. Stellatus doesn't care though.
The Okcilian society that existed at the time of the previous picture was about 30 years into the future technologically. This Okcilian society is about 160 years in the future technologically. Antimatter power is the norm. There are settlements throughout the entire Solar System, but no Okcilian has ever left it. Snowball Earth is still going on and nobody wants to go there because of the gravity being 3 times that of Mars, but there are Okcilians living on Earth's moon. This doesn't stop Okcilians from sending many rovers there to take nice pictures though. The one thing that was missing, which Stellatus provided, was the hyperdrive to be used to jump systems. This was a very difficult problem to solve. There are also assistant Jellydroids at this point, though they are deliberately kept just simple enough that they can still do somewhat complex, undesirable tasks, but cannot replace actual Okcilians. Stellatus' ship is the most well-armed vessel in existence and despite Stellatus having resolved the issue of the very near instantaneous, faster than light signal or "hypersignal", there are still no signs of other alien societies. I might give the Okcilians different names for the planets. They would not experience them the same way we do. I think I will research the other things that were going on in the Solar System 1.1 billion years ago to figure this out.
