Or, more aptly entitled "Claire discovers the blend marker". "And backgrounds".
Obviously, Neo-Queen Serenity. But! Not her usual gown, no no. I thought it'd be neat if I could make a gown loosely based off of her Sailor Uniform, and so I did. The veil was hard as nails to get right XD even then I don't like it much. And the background, eick. But oh well! I like the overall effect, and had to cut out many of the stars I drew because it looked like snow.

I've actually had this type of thing in my mind for the past six or some odd months; had sketched it on and off for a while before I finally got the gumption to sit down and do it.
Is it a crime that I still am not happy with my art? Waugh! Artists.
For a time, was contemplating making copies of this if it turned out good and printing them off, selling them at Aurora-con this fall... Dunno though, don't think it's okay enough XD
Part of what makes this what it is, is something Kchan taught me. Or shared with me.
Drawing on a half-size piece of paper. It's really awesome, actually, makes for a smaller area to work with, hones your work in more, and makes you focus just that little bit more. Overall, brings out a nice effect in my work more than other stuff, I think, because I naturally draw large. Which isn't always a bad thing, but it's good to be versatile, ne?
