When i started drawing ,I thought the original look didn't work with this pose,so I tried something new...Hope you like it!Venom (c) MARVEL

Im sorry to tell you this but... its not as original as you might think.
The truth is someone tough of a design like this in Marvel original comics "What if ?" where Spidey after hes confrontation with Morlun renouces The Other instead of embracing it (it happens before "Civil War" i think).
After that Venom symbiote rejects Mac Gargan who was its corrent host and races up to Peters body (did I mantion that Morlum kills Peter ? - and no its not "What if" exlusive its part of the connon) and fuse with it permanently where the two truly become one and in the end we get a grutesce creature that calls itself POISON !
Poison's design it pretty much THE SAME as the one presented in the picture above if u are curious about the story read the comic its a great read !
Still even if its not so original, its still a great peace of work for some one who dint cnow about Poison.

Well, actually I know about Poison, but I did this drawing in 2004, after seeing Spider-Man 2, so my Redesign came first, but I published it many years later because i didn't know about DeviantArt before XD
Talking about the character, I think that Koi Pham handled the Spider-Symbol waaaaaaaaaay better than I did, and If I tried to give a new design to Venom, the symbol would be simplier, because it's something that has to be recognizable.

Thanks a lot! I was trying to imagine him using his tongue to catch the smells in the air,just the same as the snakes,then I put a new symbol on his chest...

very good hand work with that pencil man I need to get back into my sketch books I used to love venom and spawn for that facial design and the body the curves of the charecter the shadows lovely ! but ya ever since my old sketch book was stolen I havent been sketching as much but now I have changed Im going to start a new deviant life its the Shaolin way 8-P
