Description My stamp, and my contribution to the Twiwar.

Yes, I read all four books and Midnight Sun before becoming a hater. I'm not shallow enough to hate the books before I've read them. I still hate it.

Twifags/Twitard/Twifans/Cullenists/etc always assume we haven't read the book, cause we hate it. I hate how insensitive they can be. They keep bitching on how if we read the books, we'll love them too. It pisses me off So, Twifags

Go ahead, flame me. I don't care.

It has saved me from the incredulous inanity of the series.

Hail, Twilight-haters!

I've read Twilight...I gave up after the last word. I wanted to throw it into hell. Seriously...

I continued reading until the last one. Maybe because Jacob didn't go all maniac until the last book.

I read it when it was first published in 2005. I hated it; it hurt me to try to get through it, but I did. I read all the other books in the vain hope that it would get better, but it ended up being a repeat of the first book. Honestly, how many versions of one book can you publish?

I was not impressed, and I have yet to figure out why she started whining about Midnight Sun being leaked.

That's pretty much what it's come down to. It really started when the Twitards started PHYSICALLY attacking the Antis.

When did this happen? I swear, I've never even verbally attacked someone because they didn't like the same thing I did. And niether has anyone else I've known. I swear, people blow this stupid thing out of proportion. It's a book. In some people's opinions, including my own, it's a good book. In some other opinions, it is not. Can't we agree to disagree and shut up about it?

gethsemane-butler In reply to Shelly-oneechan [2009-07-10 05:28:02 +0000 UTC]

It started happening when Twilight got EXTREMELY popular, as in "Cullenism" is now a religion popular. If you google it, you'll find a lot of stories on such abuse.

Shelly-oneechan In reply to gethsemane-butler [2009-07-10 13:24:22 +0000 UTC]

So? It's popular, who cares? Lots of books and series have fandoms like that. You get your Potter-tards, your Naru-tards, and your Ava-tards ect ect. And at the same time, you get people against it because the closer to the light you stand, the larger a shadow you cast. I know the book have their faults, and the movie was aweful, but honestly I think people should drop it instead of going into a 'Twiwar' as you put it.

gethsemane-butler In reply to Shelly-oneechan [2009-07-10 14:02:27 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it's popular, and yes, every fandom has its -tards, but how many fandoms do you know of where the -tards actually physically abuse those who don't like it? I'm not arguing or anything; I'm just saying that things have gone way too far in terms of the Twiwar, but it has calmed down a little bit. That's only going to last until the next movie comes out, though, I'm sure. This "Twiwar" has been going on since a few months before the movie came out and people have been physically hurt over a book; that's all I'm saying.

Shelly-oneechan In reply to gethsemane-butler [2009-07-10 14:11:09 +0000 UTC]

And anyone that would physically fight over a book is stupid. Seriously, I agree with you. But supporting the fights with all the stamps I've seen against Twilight just makes it worse. Like I said, I just wish both sides would drop it. I wish the fans would quietly enjoy the book, and the anti's would stop wasting their time with complaining about it/ burning it. Seriously, I've heard about people taking the books and burning them!
I'm sure you're a good person, despite our different tastes in literature, but I don't support anyone that spurs this fight on.

I'm an Anti, sure, and I don't really get into it unless someone asks me why I'm an Anti, and even then it's like, "Look, you asked me for my reasons as to why I don't like it, and here they are. I get the fact that you happen to be a fan, and that's cool." All in all, though, I don't mind someone liking something that I happen to dislike for various reasons, but when they start physically abusing people, yeah, I have an issue with that. In short: I'm an Anti, but I don't mind the normal, sane fans. It's the rabid fans that I have an issue with. Yes, I agree physically fighting over a book is stupid (and can get people arrested for assault charges; that'd look really stupid on a rap sheet that you got arrested for breaking someone's arm because they don't like a book).

But as I said, I'm not arguing, I'm just saying, and the hype's also calmed down considerably since the movie came out, but I think it'll pick up again by the time New Moon comes out.

Very true. Here's a cookie for being fair and unbiased. ^^
It's a fact, actually, that most people dislike the book because of the fandom, not the book itself. I'll be the first to admit that rabid fangirls are annoying and dumb, but like I said before, every fandom has the rabid ones.

gethsemane-butler In reply to Shelly-oneechan [2009-07-10 14:41:13 +0000 UTC]

I has a cookie?! You're like...my new best friend now.

I don't like the fandom because of the book, but also the rabid fans. However, if the rabid fans backed off just a little bit more, I wouldn't have such a big issue with the fandom; in fact, I don't think that a lot of people would have such a big problem with the fandom if they backed off.

I can only hope. But like you said, the second New Moon comes out in theaters, it'll start up again and I think I'll be afraid to come on Deviantart.

And yes, you has a cookie.

I love the series, myself, but I'm not here to bash. I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for reading it before you decided that it sucked. A lot of people don't, and I have an issue with that. But if you've read it and still didn't like it, that's cool.

I admit, it's not the most well written series out there or anything, but I like it anyway for some reason!
