Well, I never owned the GB Kanto games as a kid? I always loved the idea of catching Pokemon and using them in battle. Finally, after many years, new detail has been revealed for the old Red & Blue games and this Beta Pokémon is one of the most interesting shark Pokemon I have ever seen in my lifetime. Not only did you catch the style in your art piece but also you did your own twist on the Pokemon while staying true to the OG Beta Sprite.
Amazing!
Let's talk about the Pokemon itself. The black top skin with a little bit of the white belly looks well done and scary while it feels like something that could have come from Pokemon itself. The blue eyes are also a nice touch as it feels like it could belong to Pokemon.
And added to detail. You gave this Pokemon a chainring so that it makes sense on why the sprite of the shark's back tail fin has some little spikes there so it can smack any Pokemon with steel typing in water fish.
Also, glad that unlike many fanart of this shark. You were one of a few who added the dorsal fin on top of the shark as the sprite looked weird when not showing its backside.
Other than that? This fanart gets a 10 outta 10 on all of the Vision, Style, Bombing, and Epicness on your part.

yes, ikari (anchorage) and jaggu (adamark) are completely separate. i just thought it was cool that it looked like both of them were mixed.

I never noticed that the shark has like a ringhole chain in the middle of his tail. I guess GameFreak thought they would save that shark for gen 2? lol

Wow, somehow I'd never seen this early Pokémon design before! Always interesting to see beta 1st-generation stuff come out (like the reveal of Gorochu just this past month.) I wonder if someday we'll know the full lineup of the original 190 that they had planned before they decided to change it to 151...
(Seems the name they had for it was "Shiyakku" -- basically just "Shark" -- and the moose-ish one above is "Deer." But considering that Krabby is just called "Crab" in Japanese it's entirely possible that those were going to be the final names. Not sure what "Kurokkii" is supposed to be, or if I'm even reading that one right... it's small and I'm a bit rusty. Maybe "Croccy" like Crocodile? Does sort of have a big-mouthed reptile-ish look to it...)

Is nice to read someone this informed. 😊 Yeah, I love to see backstage of big projects like Pokemon. I heard or read that part of the 190 are now part of the 2nd Gen like Girafarig. The reason why we didn’t see this particular page of Betas is because they (GF) decided to reveal them just a few days ago with an official magazine.
