Description
Made in Apophysis using =SaTaNiA 's Julan Neon tutorial. - [link] - It took me a while to get a color that I could live with which was pretty hard with this peice but I'm satisfied.Related content

You kidding? And you call this an artistic block? You don't know what a true block is, lucky you.
Brilliant! I'd have given it a little more green shades, and maybe some yellow ones, but still great.

I tried but with the way the fractal and gradients were working together, it just wasn't going to happen.

Why that, there are other ways to make it work. If there's yellow in your gradient, you can add it to the fractal wherever you want and no matter what. Apart from regulating the colour values (the ones ranging from 0.000 to 1.000) and the symmetry, there's xaos as well which changes the overall outcome somewhat. Think of it as a "perfectioned" weight variable.
Also, try your luck with fx. Whenever you use one, know that changing the symmetry value for its colour changes everything. Literally. Even jumping from 1 to .95 might change all (yup, all) of the colour combo.

Well I didn't try xaos or the fx. I will! Thanks for the tip.

Nothing
In case you're interested and still don't know it, Flark has made an awesome xaos tutorial. Look it up, it's really clear and it'll help you do lots of nice things with it.
