This is my entry for a poster competition that I entered to get some scholarship money. Hopefully, I win something. It's pretty likely, considering there's 14 places that you can win, and each one earns you a larger amount of money. First place is 25,000 dollars. Which is just dandy.I had to draw a poster illustrating the theme "Life is Better With Art In It." I think I did a good job with it...I'm proud of the final result. It took me a while to get it right.
So, check it out. Give me some feedback. I'd appreciate it.

I really like the colouring theme... like not the colouring itself but... just the use of colouring in areas of where people are doing art and shiz... like... that alone is pretty freaking artistic. I like this a lot. It's... special!

Everything is done in Flash except the composition of the color circles and the black & white everything. That, I did in Photoshop.

Ok, that makes sense. Because I would imagine that would be a bitch all in Flash. Though I suppose you could use layer masks. That would probably work.

i entered a poster contest long ago for a public safety support company.
it was very good in my oppinion.
it showed a child running into a street and on the other end a semi-truck advancing.
at the top it said "look both ways... dont wanna be roadkill"
i didnt win.
needless to say... i was pissed!

I mean, I KNOW how the background is black and white because the art is supposed to be really exciting, but eh, the color isn't THAT interesting. Your eye does go to it though. Maybe make it a little shinier, add some glowy stuff to the colored stuff, but what you've got there is a pretty quality contest entry anyway.

Really? I tried to make the color as vibrant as possible...if it leads your eye to it, then mission accomplished. I didn't want it to be TOO vibrant. You know? So the rest of the picture wouldn't go unnoticed.
