Description
Original Version. 3 layers. From a game idea that I want to make a reality eventually. The idea of the game was originally from ~FIFE-Productions who has already worked on an iPhone game. The idea originated back in late 2011 when we were brainstorming ideas for a new iPhone game for the company he works with called "QAST mobile". It was going to be a game about a guy with a jet pack. Nothing special. I wanted to make a game with a dark, more in-depth story and an anthropomorphic fox.
The original idea that I thought of was to make a heroic and cocky jet pilot with the cliche "save the princess" routine with a humorous homosexual twist. I decided that the idea might not be a good synopsis for a simple one-touch game (could be a deterrant for buying it since most iPhone games are kid friendly) and I'm going to recycle the idea in a future writing project instead.
The rocket game was actually cancelled because the company decided against making "Another Jetpack game for the iPhone".
Meanwhile, the idea I had evolved and took a sharp turn. It became a dark science fiction based 2D platformer with a man who wakes up as an alien genetic experiment. He has strange abilities that allow him to "generate" and manipulate energy around him. By this time, I wanted to call it "Fire Fox" but the idea of expanding his "powers" made "Elemental Fox" his title instead.
One thing became apparent to me after thinking up all of this and beginning to lay it down: This probably would not be a good iPhone type game. So I scrapped the idea and set it off to the side.
Recently, I realized that I could make it into a PC game or an Indie game on the Xbox Live marketplace. So I've taken this off of the backburner and have decided to go to the next stage of development: "Concept Art and Finalizing ideas"
It will be a large project that will probably take some time, run by me and ~FIFE-Productions who composed some concept music when I originally pitched the idea (and he'll be uploading that to his YouTube channel as soon as he can)
Don't expect this to take off until we can get some coding knowledge under our belts, so wish us luck!

Thanks. I wrote a story that goes along with it a while ago.

Yeah, I have a fantasy of making my own fighting game.

Would you like to hear about THAT?
Yeah, I love explaining. XD

Well, the game would be based off of my story, so the playable characters would be all my characters, plus Blaze, to fit the Story Mode.
I might as well say this now, but anthropomorphized versions of the Mane 6 would be playable too. (If you followed the fighting game industry like I did, you'd notice the abundance of guest appearances lately in fighting games. P.S. A non-canon story is in progress combining these two universes.)
Anyway, the fighting system would be a mixture of Street Fighter and King of Fighters, with the accessibility of Street Fighter and speed, mixed with the combos and canceling (interrupting one move to do another) of KoF. There'd be also a gauge that stocks up to 3 bars of super moves available, plus a Rage Mode that occurs when a character not only takes enough damage but when their clothing and body is damaged enough.

Wish I could do stuff like this, what'd you make it with?

Sketched the original on a piece of paper and painted it in GIMP

Really nice design. I love the outfit and his physique. Dynamic poses are so tough and something that I avoid because of how bad they end up, but you did very well.

Thank you! And I'm usually not all that great at dynamic poses myself, but I find drawing stick figures in dynamic poses can really help in understanding for future reference. ^_^

Exactly! That's what I also do. It's not a full solution, but it helps a lot. Even an old spiderman figurine that I had as a child has proven to be useful sometimes.
