I've only seen one episode of Nickelodeon's new series Mysticons, and already it shows so much promise, I can't wait to see more of it. In fact, I'm confident enough in this show's potential to issue a challenge to the people who make it, which I only say because apparently they do a "Fanart Friday," which I'm pretty sure this will never make it onto, (and I'm okay with that) but it also means that they're looking at fanart and it's not that farfetched to think they might actually see this. But first, I have to tell a long-winded story about my experience with a completely unrelated series. Brace yourself.

Not too long ago, I fell absolutely in love with an anime series called Little Witch Academia after its English dub got released, with the first thirteen episodes dumped onto Netflix. The main character, Akko, was so relatable, I identified with her so much. I wanted to see her succeed so much that it felt like a personal victory for myself when she eventually did. By the time those first thirteen episodes were over, I was already planning all kinds of bizarre fetish art I was going to draw for it, because that's how I choose to show my appreciation for things, I dirty them up. But before I got around to doing it, I got sick and tired of waiting for the rest of the first season to get released in English, so I watched the rest of it in subtitles, a concept mundane to others because that's how most people seem to prefer they consume anime, but not me personally. But I loved this one enough to watch it in Japanese.

And the ending made me cry. It made me cry tears of joy, something I didn't even know was possible. I thought being so happy that you cried was something movies made up. To describe how it ends without spoiling it, remember that song at the end of the Powerpuff Girls movie? The last line goes "the town approached its darkest hour. The girls were forced to use their powers. They flew back at destruction and mayhem. Those freaky girls, those monsters, those monsters saved them." That's how Little Witch Academia ends, and that ending combined with the relatable characters and all of the situations building up to it came together to form something I felt was just so pure for this world that when I sat down to draw the characters in some sexual situations...I just couldn't do it. I couldn't let my twisted fingerprints get all over this show, and I still can't. And if you've seen my gallery and the concepts and characters I have had no problem fetishizing in the past, You might be inclined to agree when I say that that's saying a lot when something was off-limits to me.

Now back to Mysticons and the people who produce it, in the event that they not only see this but actually bother reading my wall of text. My challenge: Use your narrative to make me regret drawing this. I have faith in you.
