Personality: Ebi generally seems like an overly pleasant young fellow. He smiles often, and because he's extremely tall compared to his current company at the academy, he hunches over and bends down to have what he's decided are more polite conversations. However, he's also the type to smile just a bit too often. He has a tendency to watch situations intently and only speak occasionally, and his unintentional staring can be a little unsettling, but he'll start talking more regularly (and even passionately) if you get him going on a topic he likes. He's particularly fond of animals and plant life, and he has a very strong sense of justice and morality. In fact, he's honestly a bit too insistent on his moral code, often overemphasizing it to the point of discomfort. He comes across as anywhere on a spectrum from well-meaning but socially awkward to just that side of ueagghhhh, but he simply thinks he's a Very Nice Fellow.

Brief Bio: Ebi grew up in a sort of backwater area of Zora Bay, one of two children to a pair of farmers. As a young child, he was a bit of a spoiled brat, influenced by his equally spoiled older brother. However, while shirking his chores one day, he wound up in a heatvent-related accident that left him with some damage to his gills/lungs and a handful of nasty scars. It was a surprisingly close call for someone so young, and it really changed his entire outlook on life. He because an extremely well behaved kid, always listening to his parents and helping out. He developed a very strong sense of right and wrong as he grew older, and he firmly believed that his accident was what changed him. In his downtime, he began sort of policing other people in his neighborhood, ensuring that they were doing good. While this was a bit charming when he was starting out, his insistence eventually grew into an obsession, and people began to be uncomfortable.

Things became tumultuous for Ebi when his brother was killed in an accident. Ebi had been with him at the time, and he expressed a great deal of remorse for the passing, but it was known that he had been focusing particularly hard on curbing some of his brother's nastier habits, as he had never grown out of being a spoiled kid like Ebi had. It was around this time that he learned of the knights in Skyloft, and almost like a switch had been flipped, he turned all his attention to the idea of becoming a knight. He seemed enthusiastic about the idea of protecting people and upholding the good of the realm. When a recruiter came around, his neighborhood and his beleaguered and concerned parents were only too excited for him to head off to the academy.

OTHER NOTES:
He LOVES the idea of knighthood and all the trappings that come with it. He believes himself to be on one of those sort of fairy tale-esque journeys to become a hero and do good in the world. It's honestly a little cute, when it isn't juvenile.
He loves catching bugs. He also enjoys munchin' on 'em. He insists they are very high in protein and have a satisfying crunch.
He's got needle teeth! Just...just like too many needle teeth.
Because of his injuries, he always wheezes a little when he breathes and talks. It's not intrusive, just a little bit there.

I have a legacy character voucher, so...now I have a zora! And boy is he my Good Good Crucible Boy, but like...if he were a lamprey eel who decided to become a knight.
