Personality: By appearances, Ryn seems like an exhausted and somewhat unenthusiastic young lady--a sufferer of numerous sleep issues, she has difficulty restraining her yawns and tends to walk around looking like she's in a daze. Still, she's much improved over the way she was when she first joined the academy. A bit brighter and smilier, she's more active than she used to be, and she tries to be more outgoing and friendly. Of course, by comparison to most people, this is still on the low end of emoting, but to those who knew her before, she'll seem vastly improved. That said, her slow manner of speech and the stunted amount of energy she can put into her actions and emphasis still makes her seem a bit like she's either half awake or being extremely sarcastic about things (when in actuality, she's only sarcastic a little bit of the time). Update: Recent efforts have made Ryn a bit less sluggish and a bit more energetic than she had been! Though she still finds herself more tired than the average student, every day she gets a little better at socializing, working, and enjoying herself. She's even been trying to dress less like she's about to take a nap. Progress!

Brief Bio: The child of a couple of fairly successful shopkeeps, Ryn was always a very sleepy child and usually didn't get up to much. She seemed so unmotivated that her parents began to dig up things for her to do in an attempt to knock some energy into her. Despite best attempts, all Ryn seemed interested in was gardening and falling back asleep. As a last ditch effort, they suggested she go to Skyloft and join the academy, following in her grandparents' footsteps, and with thouhts of verdant locales in mind, Ryn agreed.

Though she had not been a particularly active student for several years, thanks to her sleep problems and numerous friends leaving school, she had been skating by as a very quiet knight and student. Once Leenan returned, however, she decided it was high time she put in some effort, and she picked herself back up, even managing to make a few new friends after years of introversion.

She set out to prove she deserved to stay at the academy, and though she had once only found herself interested in study and contemplation, her experiences training at Skyloft and putting those skills to good use in dealing with the Sheikah curse made her realize she quite liked being a more active protector. She decided then and there to dedicate herself to really being someone who could stand against the perils that threaten the world.

OTHER NOTES:
I figure I should be specific about her sleep issues. She has hypersomnia (quite tired all day--can fall asleep often and take spontaneous naps in weird places, but she doesn't do so against her will like with narcolepsy) and somnambulism (sleep walking! mostly just when she's sleeping at night). Some additional side effects include speaking very slowly and some memory issues. She has been better about treating it, though!
She loves puns! I guess I have never mentioned this, but hot dang, she loves a good, gentle pun.
Ryn has been putting all her effort into training to be a better knight, even though it is a bit exhausting. She recently discovered that wielding a polearm is immensely more comfortable for her, so she's started focusing on that, as well as honing her skills with her boomerang. It turns out she can be rather formidable when she can put her mind to it!
Ryn's hair was cut short during the Shadow Temple excursion. She's growing it back out, but for now she rather likes having a slightly more manageable haircut.
