"J" is for the Joker....the Ledger/Nowlan version specifically.30 minutes of sloppy colors. it was fun, but i really have to improve my digital coloring skills this year. time for some growth.

I like how his head shape feels like the classic Joker, but with the Dark Knight details. Cool piece--great work on the eyes.

Ledger's Joker is the best ever. I don't think anyone can argue with that. So good choice to go with that version. I love this. The expression, the distorted face, everything about it just rocks.

I think the "sloppy" technique fits the character. I was thinking of doing something similar on his face for my sketch. His makeup was patchy, as well as his mental state. This sort of reflects that.

well sloppy in respect to how the color is applied. it's not refined...there's no sophisticated blending techniques going on here...just color slapped on. that's not so much a bad thing.....it's just that, I personally, have to learn better techniques.
