Glad to see somebody remembers those CORNY 1980's cartoons like Turbo-Teen p, Pandamonium, and 1 of the others is The HAPPY DAYS GANG with The Fonze, and Cupcake,The 1980s Latex Catsuit wearing time traveler chick with classic dual ponytails. The Happy Day Gang would be a great CGI/POSER theme showing where Cupcake is a really a Furry big boobed alien, who unzips a Silicone Rubber 1 piece brunette dollskin that unzips from the back of head down to just above her waistline when nobody isnt looking-only Mr.Cool,Fonzies short Mutt being a dog, knows Cupcakes furry secret, since animals have lot keener smell than humans do

I vaguely remember the happy days cartoon and the one with the pandas, but never saw turboteen. My Saturday cartoons came earlier with Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Show, Hong Kong Fuey, fat Albert, The Frofft Supershow, ABC Saturday Morning Special haha

Still would be very interresting to see a Deviant artist do a *Full Animation Cupcake Dollsuit Unzip*from the Happy Days Gang, where the BIG@Y@ Dual Pony-tail Cupcake is really a 1piece Rubber Dollskin, like from the COCOON first movie,Alien is played by Hottie Tahnee Welch...The Cocoon Sequal rubber bodysuit being dropped to floor scene sucked > Best view of Bodysuits was in first movie

Dude, that's cool. I read the story after seeing this, then realised I never commented. The concept is awesome, though how human DNA can be spliced with a car I don't understand. As a piece of art though, it's totally awesome. I don't suppose you'd do a request of the same idea would you? If you would, that'd be so awesome, if not, no worries, you've got your own life. We could do a trade but I'm a crappy artist.

Michelle was combined by a laser that combined DNA. I'm not sure how much of the stories you've read, but [link] this might clear everything up - as the same thing happened to Michelle.

No, what I meant was, cars don't have DNA to merge with.

True, but they are made up of atoms. Also I don't think its been proven that other living things aren't made up of something similar to DNA.

Well, a car's not a living thing, but yeah, I see what you mean. Combines on an atomic level. I suppose you're not really supposed to go into the sience of it. XP

That's kinda where I was going with it - in all fairness, there's only so far a writer can go until the 'reality' of fantasy is just too fargone to describe. That's not to say I shouldn't recognize or acknowledge the science of it- just describe it enough so that it is part of the story and not attempting to create it 'in' reality.

Yes, I agree. I suppose at the time of my initial post I was being too cynical.

Nah, you're just a curious reader, enjoying something that a writer didn't explain well enough. No worries.

Thank you for the kind words^^ Unfortunately, I'm about to start Tech school and with that, my music projects, work, family, etc. I'm not sure I'll have time to do much in the way of art here (which I really enjoy doing). I'm hoping I can find the time to at least do some more Transferama contests occasionally so stay in touch. If you win one of the contests, you can choose the TF for a character in the contest scenario and I'll draw it :]

yeah, but it was a stupid cartoon, is my point. and yes, i used to watch it, when i was a kid.

I'd never seen it so I can't really comment about it. That one was a bit after my time but I did watch shows about talking ducks and rabbits when I was a kid. The impossible is part what made cartoons fun

well, it's more that you automatically know that the animals can't talk.
presenting something like fusing dna with a car as serious makes it really ridiculous.

I'd seen the previews back in the 80s but never watched it. I see your point, though. If they were going to pull something like that off, they should have used magic or some kind of supernatural phenomenon (most of the tfs I draw are in the 'unexplained' category so I use an 'unexplainable' means to get them there).
I think my main question is: If his clothes morph with him, does he always wear the same clothes, then?
But then again it's a kids sci-fi show and you just have to leave disbelief at the door (like a have to do to enjoy James Bond movies

As a fan of the show, I have to agree that much of the concept is rediculous. But so are many other shows and characters- Bugs Bunny was a talking, wise cracking rabbit. Mickey Mouse was a whistling mouse who steered steamboats.
Turbo Teen, the show, took a simple concept and tried to sell it to kids. Some of the things that the car could do were absolutely impossible- it had closed-circuit TV in the 80s (no car today has that now!) as well as extendable axles (picture Benny from Who Framed Roger Rabbit), a car phone (which was just plain loony how it floated into the air for TT to use.)
Personally, I believe the show had to end because so many of the episodes were ludicruos. In my fanfics, I write them with technology as the driving force. Summer and Turbo Teen can speak and control nearly aspect of themselves, but they can't do everything. (There is a scene in Daredevil Run where TT ejects his radiator cap; he could do this, but not recap it.)
As for other things, I leave much of it unexplained simply because I myself don't know how to explain them. I leave it up to the mystery of the technology (we have electricity, but do we know everything about it?) At times, Michelle might revert to her human form while someone is riding inside of her. Her body will contort around this person so that the person is sitting atop her back when she is a human again; I believe that it is because of foriegn matter that the living person is not absorbed. Clothing, however, is different because Michelle was wearing clothing when she was first combined with the car; therefore her clothes change along with her, no matter what attire it happens to be. In the cartoon, they have Bret transform in his pajamas a few times, but otherwise he wears his usual red jacket and khaki pants because they used stock transformations.
Visit the fanfic site, hopefully that will clear up some of this stuff. But yes, much of the reasons why we watch and enjoy cartoons is because they're not always entirely factual. If they weren't, we'd be watching movies besides The Dark Knight, The Incredible Hulk, Spider Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four... Unbreakable... the list goes on.

Ooo, this is awesome. I love the first frame most of all... wheels are awesome and hands and feets becoming wheels is even better! Something about the pose and expression in this really captures my attention. I feel like the jump between frames 2 and 3 is a little extreme. It's hard to show a body widening up and shifting in the right places to become a car - I speak as somebody who's trying it right now - it may be in your interest to try a few quick vehicular tfs where the subject is in this particular transitional state as I notice you do fly right over it pretty quickly in your art.

hyperjet In reply to disney-transform [2009-02-08 19:57:34 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! Yeah it is a bit extreme as you said but I had initially agreed to do only four frames and included two more as sort of a bonus. Most of my TFs are done in a way where I actually manipulate the subject instead of just drawing a series of separate pictures. So the TFs are actually real, in a matter of speaking. I think I actually did do the missing frame you are referring to but had to choose one or the other due to time constraints. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for future TFs :]
