Love the costume, looks like some high quality material that you used. Is it still functioning?

Thank you! It pretty much broke into pieces this last Dragoncon. I haven't evaluated the damage and repairability yet but may recycle some of the components into the dragon costume I'm working on. Here's a pic last Halloween where I used the face piece lol [link]

That is a seriously awesome costume!

So why no tail then? I think it would add a lot.

Yes it would^^
It just wasn't in the cards when I built it (a miracle it all pulled together as it did). I am working on an actual dragon one using some of the draconian parts and it will have a tail :}

Thanks Just have one kid (Josh)

Actually, I'm working on a full dragon. Using some of the draconian parts for it but it will have a tail as well as wings if I can ever get it done......

i wonder what the kids think of your dragon suit XD, but i think it needs a tail

The younger kids are mostly scared unless they see me in the parade

As far as the tail, I'm a draconian (half dragon) but yeah, it would add a lot. The only other draconian in existence as far as I know is in California. He has a tail but no wings.

Here's a vid of my costume (watch in high quality option if you can).

The escalators were fine. It was the twelve flights of stairs that finally did me in...

Atlanta, Ga. It takes up three or four major hotels downtown every Labor Day weekend. It keeps growing. Last year it had 30,000 attendees.

Basically anything to do with sci-fi, fantasy, art. Lots of cosplay, for one (there is a costume parade that runs over seven blocks), lots of celebrities, authors, gaming, workshops, contests, vendors, bands, lots of scantily clad women. It's huge!

Here's the website [link]

My year revolves around it. You will have the time of your live! Even if you're not into sci-fi or fantasy, it's still quite and experience!

Hmmm I wonder how much it costs to stay at a hotel over there during the event.

The Marriot (in the center of everything) is sold out. The Hyatt, Hilton and Sheraton probably average about $160 a night as a guess. The spillover hotels (which are a few blocks away) are considerably cheaper I think. But go to the dragoncon sight and they have codes you can enter for a dragoncon discount.

Hmmm I won't be able to do it this year or the next but maybe after that. Darn life isn't exactly flexible.

That's a shame. Hopefully something will happen where your plans can change, but there are several other cons around the country. Stay in touch. Working on a new costume for this year
