Well, at first I meant that it was as cool as the metroid series' mech suits, but then I looked again and it did look kinda like Samus. This wasn't a "OMG j00 stole da suit!!!111 watermelon" comment, it's one of my many "compliments."

Belive me, you aren't the first artist I've alienated by my ... unique style of compliments.

Either way I wish I did reference Samus... I guess I'll save that for another design...

I just responded that way because, Samus was the last thing on my mind. The scale of the mecha isn't even body size like Samus's suit.
Its more like 3 body links and you'd have to sit in the cab to operate it. I'm just glad to get a comment period most people don't respond I don't know who saw or what they thought...

It's not un common for people to compare any/ all art to some previous artwork they have seen before. Then say oh it looks like... Problem is most people just stop there and pass the artist work off as just a copycat or a rip. Which you said you were not doing. I've gotten all kinds of it look kinda like or it reminds me of comments from people...

I'm guessing why the artist's immediate response is to demand what the commenter means in a vaguel hostile tone. Well I'm bringing back awkward praise and by god will it be back when I'm through with deviantART.

And I assumed the mech was just a mech suit, like a combat suit, not a reasonably-sized mobile suit. I guess it IS nothing like Samus' suit, then.
