They tell me,
That ignorance is bliss.

A velvety blanket of miss-directed knowledge,
A shelter against the harsh truths
That the world has throw out on the streets,
To inconvenience the passers by of reasoning.

It is the petty restraint of the ever-nearing end,
Of things as we are acustomed to them.

For if people were to wipe their eyes of ignorance,
And see the world for it's true color,
Naked of its blanket
Of velvet and lies...

The shelter would collapse,
And the cognitive
Would fling the finsh into the cloudless sky
As the birds would plummet into the depths of the ocean.

And the ignorant...
They would be in a state of
