this is like in the movies when people are sitting at a dinner table and one reaches their hand out in expectation that the other will take hold of it.
or like when someone is reaching out for the other to reach and grab it to help save their life from some life destructive disaster.

theres something about it that i don't really like, but i cant put my finger on it.
