Description I really don't know why this took me so long to post! I completed my Ovelia costume with my BFF's Ramza costume back in 2007O_o

I am very VERY proud of our work, it was worth all the time we put into them, totally.

If there are any construction questions, feel free to ask!

You both look fantastic! May I ask how Ramza's shoulders were done? They poof so perfectly roundly!

you know, I 100% remember the boot construction but not the shoulder.  I know there were more than one shoulderpad in each one.

I love it! What did you use for the gold on Ovelia's dress, if I might ask?

It was a poly imitation of silk I of course now cannot recall the name, it was carried by Jo-Ann's. I haven't seen it for awhile, it had a very nice drape to it.

Lovely! I especially love Ramza's shoulderpads and the detailing on Ovelia's cloak - are the hips padded here too?

There's some heavy duty corsetry and poofy under-layers going on

Ahh! So cool!

I was wondering how Ramza's boots were made~

And are the designs on Ovelia painted?

Ramza's boots were a very complex construction job, sadly not done by me. and while i observed it, I fear I cannot explain it well. I suggest contacting Darkin, her e-mail is Darkin142@hotmail.com and the subject line say something like, "Ramza's boots" I'll give her a heads up about your e-mail.

Ovelia's designs are a handmade applique type thing, using faux-silk, 'No-Sew' and an iron. As well as hours upon hours of measuring, tracing and burning fingers. When the product says, 'No-Sew' it means it. Any attempt to embroider stitch around the designs is like attempting to sew through sticky leather. Luckily it holds fantastically so embroidery stitch ended up not being needed
