Ruby's outfit here takes cues from previous designs o' mine. I mostly emphasized the black-and-red parts of her usual color scheme, and for the sake of serendipity, her silver medallion is a spiral (The usual rose medallion is tough to draw in 2D, and I imagine it'd be a pain to animate). She also has a bit of a Kingdom Hearts edge here, mainly with the details on her gloves resembling Sora's, or her hair resembling a cross between Ruby and Xion's hairstyles. There's also a bit of a Raven influence in her hood and how she looks with it on, given RWBY and DC have crossed paths before. Ruby's eyes also lack reflections here, setting her apart from her teammates and making her look a bit eerie.

Ruby's role in the Multiverse changed a lot, from a teacher at Beacon that Soma Cruz learned under to simply someone King Mickey hired to toughen Sora up in the Colosseum to this. Her current role is a play on how some people question if the show's really as morally grey as it tries to be (Ozpin not really being all that bad for example, or how when Team RWBY are shown on wanted posters in Atlas, fans joked about how they were the most adorable fugitives ever). Their role brings to mind the Gullwings and Organization XIII, though unlike the Gullwings, they have more of a presence in KH's story, and by the time Organization XIII enters the picture, Team RWBY have stopped being antagonists.

Ruby, as with the rest of her team, start off as antagonists in Sora's journey, searching for Kingdom Hearts, albiet for noble purposes. Unfortunately, not a lot of people take "We need to borrow your friend so she can unlock a door to Godly power that we can kill an immortal witch with!" as a believable excuse, so they got a bit desperate and resorted to hypnotizing the Princesses to take them off worlds. This, naturally, makes them look bad without context, and even with context, people like Donald and Goofy shoot down the idea on the grounds that they don't know if Kingdom Hearts can be used properly (Turns out it can if you have the X-Blade), and they don't know if Salem exists (To be fair, it's a bit much to expect Team RWBY to get a picture of her while she tries to kill them for proof). The team's run-in's with Sora reach a climax when he finally meets their leader in a graveyard, and is shocked to find that she's a lot dorkier than he expected. That said, when it escalates to a fight, she gives him the hardest fight any Huntress has yet, though she still loses. It's not that Team RWBY can't win fights, it's that a Keyblade is way above what many people usually can fight, Huntsmen and Huntresses included. She certainly doesn't give up easily though, especially after Sora asks why she's doing all this...

Ruby: (Gets up, her eyes glimmering under the moonlight) I am a Huntress, and it’s my job to protect people. And if what’s behind that door will make it so the Grimm don’t level another town, I’ll pry it open with my own bare hands if I have to! If I have to borrow some girls from other worlds so no more innocent people get ripped apart by soulless beasts, I’ll do it! If I have to get through you to make sure nobody else loses the people they love to some witch’s spite, I’ll do it! (Picks Sora up by his shirt collar to meet him at eye-level) So I’ll ask you again, if it were possible to erase the Heartless, would you try to do it?

On the other hand, in Hollow Bastion, Ruby gives up a chance to nab all the Princesses being held there to let Sora and Kairi get through so they can save everyone. She leads her team against a enormous horde of Heartless that are surrounding the castle from all sides. By the time Leon and the other FF characters get to the castle, most of the Heartless have been wiped out. By the time King Mickey finally arrives, all the Heartless are gone. They weren't trained to fight Keyblades, but they were trained to fight Grimm and Heartless.

Ruby and her teammates start off as friendly enemies, then kinda slowly drop the second part as things progress. In Sora's first adventure, they're antagonists because their methods clash with the heroes, but give up a chance to get what they want because stopping whatever kidnapped the princesses is leagues more important. In Sora's second adventure, they don't pick fights with him and actually help him, with Ruby and Weiss specifically trying to start up the Magic Mirror on Snow White's world to see if there's another way to kill Salem, but when he only has enough power for one question, they relinquish it to figure out who Xehanort is. In Road To Oblivion, Ruby calls off both Team JNR and Penny when they unintentionally butt heads with Sora (Though to be fair, Team JNR were brainwashed by Kamek and Penny was posssessed by a Geist Grimm, and they only actually answered Ruby's calls when Sora beat the curses out of them) and later appears as a Summon. In his third year of adventuring, Ruby doesn't even bother him at all, and in Mesmerized Memoriam, they're just straight-up party members when Sora arrives in Remnant and helps them kill Salem once and for all. Makes sense given, beyond Ruby not exactly being the most hardened anti-hero out there, picking repeated fights with a guy whose weapon can pummel Titans isn't a good idea, and bonding with Sora proves to actually help in the end.

Ruby's favorite food is chocolate chip cookies, and her favorite drink is milk.

Ruby's favorite show is Red Vs. Blue, and her favorite movie is the Sonic the Hedgehog OVA.

Ruby's favorite video game is BlazBlue, though she seems to have some history in Team Fortress 2 as well.

Ruby's a comic book fan.

Ruby enjoys listening to music through headphones, specifically rock music. She's pretty good on the guitar herself.

As mentioned above, Ruby loves weapons, and actually had to keep herself from geeking out when she saw Sora's Keyblade for the first time.

While searching countless worlds, Ruby decided her favorite was Traverse Town because how serene and welcoming it was. Getting swarmed by a bunch of Dalmation Puppies certainly helped.

While she can come off as a dolt, Ruby's pretty good with strategies, thinking up a way to get Sora away from Donald and Goofy so they can't shut down her arguments (How she did that is another story...), and managed to find the current reincarnation of someone from Salem's past in the form of a farm boy, hoping to find some answers from him (and keep Salem from killing him). She's also smart enough to use both her rose petals and silver eyes as forms of hypnosis. Said farm boy is helpful for testing those methods out.

Ruby's the only member of Team RWBY that no-sells Sora's Hypnora spell. It was used on Weiss and Yang to make them leave and on Blake to keep her from following them, but when he tries it on Ruby, she Pharoah Man's him . He does get to use it successfully after the fight pushes them to their limits and she finds herself wrapped up in her own cloak on a tree branch.

Ruby isn't sure what her preference is, but fembots and short boys are certainly a part of it, and depending on how deep you want to take her bond with Crescent Rose, it may involve objectophilia too.

Ruby's got a VTuber career on the sidelines. One she hopes to dedicate a bit more time to once the Grimm are gone.

Ruby's birthday is October 31st, AKA Halloween.

Ruby loves dogs, and has one in the form of Zwei. On a totally unrelated note, Ruby knows how to fit a living dog in a mail package with a bunch of food.

Ruby's an Undertale / Deltarune fan and broke down when she saw how much madness Yang intentionally modded into the games when she got them. Then to torture her some more, Yang introduced her to Deltarune Repainted.

Ruby hates Glitchtale (Funny enough, I heard its concept of Aura is just copied from RWBY, but she probably has other reasons to dislike it).

Ruby's a fan of Vannamelon, SMG4, Team Four Star, and PurpleEyesWTF.

Ruby has pulled hypnosis pranks on her teammates in the past. And subsequently paid for it.

Ruby's Smash Bros. main is Duck Hunt.

Ruby's a fan of Lord Raptor's music. She's probably not aware of who he really is. She's also a Hex Girls fan.

Ruby doesn't do well in heels, calling them "Stupid lady stilts."

Ruby's Silver Eyes petrify creatures of evil, but they can also deal considerable damage to other people as well. You could lose an arm, or an eye, or both. When her eyes glint, duck and cover.

Ruby was adamant that they have a built-in video game room on their Gummi Ship.

Ruby's got a playlist of hypnosis ASMR on her Scroll. She'd rather not let others know what's in it. If anyone ever finds out, she'd burn her Scroll and brainwash the witnesses.

Ruby's a Sonic X fan and can put together a decent Dark Oak cosplay for Halloween.

Ruby has a collection of Moogle plushes.

Ruby's quite protective of her hood and doesn't take kindly to people ruining it. She has a similar protective nature to Crescent Rose.

Ruby knows how to ride a motorcycle, her sister taught her.

Like some Huntresses, Ruby has sponsored some products, specifically cookie dough brands and video games.

In a bit of irony, Ruby turns out to be one of the new Princesses of Heart her team is looking for.

How Ruby got her hands on a page written by a mad master is kinda left vague, but she found it, read it, and needless to say, she followed its instructions. And her teammates are with her all the way.

Ruby: Alright, girls, who's up for another round of possible despair and trauma?
Weiss, Blake, and Yang: YEAH!
