Joshua: "Oh? You're awake? Haven't seen someone wake up from their Lotus Dream in a good long while."
Alt. Sora: "What are you talking about!? Where am I!?"
Joshua: "Well, I'll be brutal. You're dead."
Alt. Sora: "WHAT!?"
Joshua: "And you fell into this place, the In-Between. Those little lights below the water there? Those are Lotus Flowers holding the sleeping Hearts that fell down here.(Picks up a flower, opening it to show a Heart, then closing it again)By way of dreams, it remolds a Heart until it's ready to be reborn into a new life. Once it's ready...(Opens it again to show the Heart is gone)It's back in the Living Plane."
Alt. Sora: "Wh-Where did it go!?"
Joshua: "If I had to guess, I'd say into a fetus that just got born. And that'll be you eventually."(Holds up the now empty Lotus to AS)
Alt. Sora: "WAIT! I gotta get back now! There's this evil guy who destroyed my world!"
Joshua: (Reads Sora's Heart)"Hm...Sora, was it?(Checks His phone)Oh, that's odd. You're not even dead. I get the feeling you're not from around here. Well, if you're in such a hurry, I have to tell you, the process with these flowers can be a long one, hence the dreams they put you in. Time moves a lot faster here, so it could feel like centuries. If I were to speed it up, you might be able to forego the whole 'Growing up' part, but you might be reborn as a Nobody with a Heart defect or something. You might also look a bit different if, by some chance, the you from this reality were to have someone else in his Heart, effectively making you an amalgamation, but that's just a possibility, I doubt that'd happen."
Alt. Sora: "I don't care! I gotta stop him!"
Joshua: "Hm...Alright. I can see you have a strong Heart, you may be able to remember. Eventually at least. I suppose I should show you the quick way out I designed then. I must warn you, it's still a work in progress."(Turns around and points a gun at AS)
Alt. Sora: "Wha-"
(Cut to black as a gunshot is heard, followed by the sound of AS falling into the water with a splash; Roxas wakes up from his sleep in Traverse Town)

Remember how I said the depths below Skyworld and the Land of the Dead lead to reincarnation? Welp, this the depths, in all it's eerie, bittersweet glory. It can also be accessed by falling into the pits of Hell, but Corrupt Souls endure nightmares here rather than dreams. I wasn't sure what to make this place, I was considering making it a monochrome, twisted city or just a monochrome version of the Final World. I decided to go with the Lotus-garden motif because Lotus flowers are a symbol of rebirth, plus the dreams they put Hearts in are kinda like Lotus Eater Machines, albiet more on the trippy side compared to Skyworld. Enjoy.
