Like Helen, Inky got an upgrade from the standard Grim Grunt outfit since his last character sheet. Trading it in for a paint-splattered hoodie with baggy pants to match. His hair also got an overhaul, and to avoid him looking like an OMORI rip-off, his black hair is now dark purple. Like Helen, his eyes are also more unique, looking like purple windows.

Inky's Brushblade has a few inspirations, mainly the Magic Brush from Epic Mickey, a game that inspired Inky's existence when I was a kid. The circular blade on the other end is inspired by the White Bokoboss Horn from Tears of the Kingdom. The extending thing brings to mind Son Goku's Power Pole, which I honestly wish was used more. (It was used in GT at least, so there's that)

Inky's Semblance is Splatter, which allows him to make black paint that can form things like spikes, shields, binds, or even short-range portals. The constructs however are small, and don't last long. He can also just spray paint at people. Despite having more variety in his Semblance, Inky's ultimately not as strong as Helen. This, and his passive personality, all lead to him gladly fitting into a support role. His eyes also become full-on purple like the left face on the picture when he uses this Semblance.

Inky died at 13, and that was a decade ago (Around the time the plot of Birth By Sleep was happening, let's say), which would make him around 23 by the time Sora's journey begins. However, Spirits only age when they mature mentally and emotionally, and Inky, like Helen, still has the mentallity, and thus form, of a teenager.

Inky is asexual. He's not above having TV crushes, but they're based more on personality.

Despite being in a job that desensitizes one to death, Inky can't stomach scary movies, moreso ones with jumpscares or long build-ups to scares. He also can't sit through movies where pets die.

Inky's favorite game series is Epic Mickey. Obviously. He's also a Tekken and Bendy fan though, though those cases are more lore-related and he's not good at playing either.

His favorite movie is Aladdin, and his favorite show is the animated spin-off of it.

Inklin is the name Inky picked for himself. He doesn't know his given name.

Inky has some resentment towards the City of Arrogance after death, even reacting to its new change in management with a cold "Sounds good to me."

Despite his attitude, Inky's not into acting all "woe is me", and just prefers to be left alone more than anything. Helen usually respects his privacy, only really butting in when they first met, simply because she didn't want him to spend his eternal afterlife alone in caves. Once they got a proper house, Inky got his own room, and loves it.

Inky has a fixation on eating and sleeping, being a big eater and taking opportunities to sleep between activities (and on the job). The fact that Spirits don't get hungry or need sleep means he must just really like them for some reason. To his chagrin, this is something Inky shares with his cranky, often foolish supervisor.

Speaking of which, usually when observing the area, either searching or waiting for the dead, Helen is usually standing, while Inky usually just sits or lays down.

Despite looking like a guy who would fit into that crowd, Inky doesn't have much of an emo attitude. The best example I can give is when an actual emo sees him sitting down, his back against a wall.
Emo Dude: Now this is what we need more of, a fellow non-conformist who's defying normie culture and expressing the futility of existence.
Inky: (Looks up at the dude, squinting) ...Dude, buddy, my brother in the eyes of Christ, I am cranky, I am lazy, and I like dark colors. Shut the hell up.

Despite this, Inky isn't above making dark jokes that can give the wrong idea. Case in point...
Helen: Because I know deep down, you can be saved, as can I, and we can be better, and get into Heaven! Together!
Inky: Helen, last night, I spent five hours replaying and laughing at a clip of Fat Albert where they innocently say the R-word. I am beyond saving.

Inky's a Storytime Animation fan. On the opposite side of things, he likes hatewatching those "Tell My Story" channels that tell stories like "I Quickly Became Homophobic" or "I Babytrapped My Boyfriend".

He's also an 8-BitRyan fan and likes watching him play horror games... or rather, likes scrolling down into the comments and listening to him play horror games.

Inky likes dogs, and he seems to like rats too. These two reasons may be why he never got into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure stuff.

On the flipside, he's deadly afraid of spiders and puppets.

Inky is responsible for some of the graffiti and murals in his home city, Cadaveria City.

Inky's existence is kinda awkward and ironic in that I have a friend online who uses "Ink" as a moniker. Inky's name was one I came up with as a kid, when I thought names like Smarty, Monster, Inhaler, and Leafy were the best writing I could offer.

Inky is a good swimmer.

Inky's favored food-type is meat, and his favored beverage is cola.

Despite his chosen name, that's not ink he's wielding, it's black paint, but "Painty" doesn't have quite the ring to it, does it?

Inky doesn't like the cold very much. Thankfully, the Underworld is slightly chilly at worst.

Inky's Smash Bros. main is the Inkling, and his Playstation All-Stars main is Heihachi Mishima.

Inky's actually really good at playing the flute.

Inky's the kind of guy who looks at circlejerk subreddits just to get some laughs out of people's angry posts.

Inky's a TMNT fan and Raphael is his favorite character.

Inky has a habit of putting his hands in the hand-warmers of his hoodie when they aren't being used to draw or something.

Inky is well aware that drawing on a sketchbook that's being held in his hand isn't always going to yield the best results, but it helps calm the nerves.

Inky has a Club Penguin account. Yes, the Underworld has Club Penguin. Because it's dead.

In his bed, Inky sleeps under three layers of heavy blankets.

Like Helen, Inky is a retool of my childhood OC's, part of a Koopalings rip-off called the Hudsonlings. As I kept revisiting his character over the years in my mind, Inky went from the artsy one, to a one-dimensional jerk, to a one-dimensional jerk that can't be in the same room as Helen without fighting with her, to this. I wouldn't call any of my characters the next MacBeth or anything, but I'd say this version of Inky, and his relationship with Helen, is far more rounded and fleshed out. His jerkiness is dialed back more to just snark and apathy rather than anything malicious. To be fair, both he and Helen can be pretty mean and snarky if someone bugs them (Usually Homer).

Inky doesn't have a high opinion on Darkhunters or Darkstalkers, simply viewing them with annoyance at best and fear at worst.

Inky is a fan of synth music.

Inky actually recognizes Bev Chalkydri, as someone who helped him get lunch once when they were both alive. He's bothered by the fact that she's now dead for some reason.
