My Smash-Community Rant

Oh no, another representative of one of Nintendo's best-selling franchises, a generic swordsman with nothing interesting. We can't have that. Giant apes who attack with nothing but their fists and head are fine, but not swords. All sword characters are generic, and they don't have any differences. I played as all the FE characters in Smash, and I can say that without a hint of sarcasm that Ike functions exactly like Marth.

Fire Emblem is giving RWBY some serious competition for one of the most toxic hatedoms in existence. Seriously though, it's really telling that I just see someone rage about these things, and that's enough to put me off. You think I asked for Byleth!? I wanted Morrigan or Shantae, or maybe Koopa Kid to make a triumphant return! But Smash wasn't made specifically for me! It wasn't made just for you either! After Sakurai and the people working on Smash went through the trouble of bringing Banjo and Kazooie back from the dead, I see people vent about how ithis is a slap in the face, and it just makes me respect them less. And before you ask, yes, the same goes for people who act like RWBY is the worst and you suck for liking it. There's not liking something, and then there's being a toxic slimeball who lashes out at anything that's not in line with what you want. Those kinds of people don't deserve the kind of things Sakurai and the Smash crew gave them! I see someone I watch vent about the alleged betrayal that is Byleth, and I'm fighting the urge to unwatch them, because this hatedom is full of entitled brats who are mad that Dante didn't get in, as if that makes him any less great. Visceral hatred like this is the kind that should be directed at people like Joffrey Baratheon or Onision, you know, actual piles of garbage? If you think I'm some crazy fan who will defend any addition to a roster, I refer you to my thoughts on Skullgirls. I don't like Fukua, I think she's a stupid waste of a slot, a not-really-funny joke about fighting clones, and her story mode was stupid, even as a joke. But I'm not gonna go and say 'SKULLGIRLS IS RUINED! AAAAAAAH!' Screw this controversy, screw the hatred thrown at Sakurai and Byleth, I'm pumped for his/her release. Team Fire Emblem and Team Sakurai all the way! Also, I HAVE unwatched people for acting like Byleth is the worst thing ever, because it's that unbearable.

Look, it's not that I hate people with different opinions, I hate people who rage about not getting their way, and taking it out on people who think differently. I changed the description because I just talked with someone who didn't like Byleth, and they were perfectly reasonable about it. Wish I could say the same for the people who literally say, "Fuck this character!", in the comments. I feel bad for snarking at the person for something said by much worse people. We ended on a good note though and I apologized. As for all the "Dante should've been in Smash!" memes, it just made me sick of Dante. The poor guy is being made into the Batman of Smash. I actually saw a comic on KnowYourMeme where it looked like Dante was hugging Byleth, despite the hate she got...but he was just reaching for her invitation. Pathetic.

Her Role In the Multiverse

Oh, in the Multiverse, Byleth's a professor of a class that the Vorton Heroes and Robin wind up in. She teaches them about where Dracula came from, and an interesting secret about him...

In terms of design, I wasn't sure if the exposed belly button would work with her armor. I'm not against showing skin-No, I don't have a belly-button fetish, and if you send me belly-button art anyway, I will block you. I get that armor hinders movement, that's why Wonder Woman doesn't wear full armor, but I wasn't sure if it would help much just to show a bit of your belly. I get the chest exposure, covering that area could be uncomfortable, and covering your neck can make it hard to turn your head. Maybe I'm wrong, about the armor I mean, I stand by what I said about the controversy.
