Meanwhile, in a lab, Zecora was bent over a bubbling cauldron, her silver latex bodysuit glistening as she worked on creating new potions. She had always been skilled in alchemy, but now it was all she knew. She had lost touch with her emotions and her sense of self, just like everyone else in Equestria.

Across the kingdom, Starlight Glimmer was busy crafting new spells. It was all she did now, day in and day out. She had no desire to do anything else, no spark of curiosity or creativity left within her. She was just a machine, carrying out Dream's orders.

Outside, Applejack and Fluttershy were on patrol, marching through the streets with blank expressions on their faces. They had been friends before, but now they were just two more drones carrying out their duties.
