Description
So this idea went through a couple of rewrites until I could finally decide on what it was going to be. At first, it was going to be another OC piece called "Haunted Masks" where the characters were possessed by haunted halloween masks, but I felt that the variety of masks was low so it felt like it wouldn't work as it was. Then it was going to be something more related to an alien parasite latching on to alien character's faces, but when I got to designing the face covering it still looked like a mask so I circled back to that idea. Eventually I decided on making this a P5 comic where the girls are possessed by a set of shadow masks that make them into a unified mind! Enjoy!

A mysterious new Palace had appeared, one that seemed to be bound by the twisted cognition of someone who had been long deceased! While exploring the new Palace, the Phantom Thieves get separated by the unstable nature of the location's desire and what's worse is that at this moment they were without their Phantom gear, since they were still unrecognized as threats! The girls, now on their own, discover that originally the owner of the Palace was a diplomat who sought to try and bring about piece, but as time went on his desire became distorted and his search for peace among all humans became the desire to unify all humans even if against their will! Unfortunately for him the diplomat became ill and ended up never seeing that through...but his cognition lingered on! His desire is still quite alive in the Palace as the girls soon find out, when they are one by one attacked by shadows that took the form of a mask and latch on to each of them! The masks take over the girls' minds converting them into a unified hive mind and possessing them to carry out the intentions of the Palace's owner, to spread this unity to all!
