So I had this model of Roll from the workshop for awhile now, but I really didn't have plans for it. So one day, after realizing "oh yeah, you're still here", I sat down and tried to think of something to do with it. I ended up going with the idea of Roll being captured and reprogrammed by Dr. Wily. I had to do a fair bit of editing on the eyes, via the gradient tool and then also a little Wily "w", I wanted to put his logo on Roll's outfit, but I couldn't quite make that work. Allegedly, this almost happened in the first game. According to an interview with Inafune, there were plans to fight a giant version of Roll in the Wily stages. How much of that was intended to be a joke, however, is beyond me.
