Well it's been quite a time... I know I basically haven't posted any Dae artwork since his last ref, which I posted exactly 4 years ago. Main reason for that was that I was kind of dissatisfied with his design at a certain point. I already decided back in 2016 that he would no longer have his ram horns because I just hate drawing them tbh. Fast forward a few years and I have completely overhauled my Hyracidi species (turned one species into four, references for these are already in the works), drew what feels like a hundred attempts for a redesign of Dae and even made one full reference standalone that I never posted because it seemed off (hence this is 7.0 and not 6.0). I finally got something that I really like with this version here. Really happy with it and I can't wait to draw him again
This ref will be updated soon, once I have the remaining parts finished. Planned are: Another standalone with a back-view, a top-view of the head, Anthro form and lots of text. If there's anything else you think the ref would need, I'm open for suggestions.

Wo ich gerade lese, dass die roten Stellen Narben sind...was hat Dae eigentlich für ne Hautstruktur? Ist das Chitin Exoskelett oder sowas?

Der Ref ist übrigens sehr geil gemalt, ich hab gerade festgestellt, dass ich ja noch nie hier drauf kommentiert hab. Shame on me. OTL

Ich will auch irgendwann mal ein Hyracidi Skellet zeichnen damit man es sich vorstellen kann xD

Die Hautstruktur ist relativ glatt, wie ein Insektenpanzer.
Das meiste davon ist ein Exoskellet, einige Teile ragen aber auch ins Innere um dort Ankerpunkte für Muskeln zu bilden. Das Rückenmark verläuft auch dorsal und ist von dem Skellet umschlossen, wie bei einem Wirbeltier. Habs auf der alten Ref ja Mesoskellet genannt, ist ne Mischung aus Exo und Endo.

Mega geiles Bild, wobei ich den alten immer noch mega geil finde. Was weniger geil war, war der Moment, als ich bei der Passage "4 Jahre" angekommen bin und kurz blinzeln musste. Erschieß mich.
Is wirklich cool, Daes Evo schon so lange mitverfolgen zu dprfen. Die Farbkombi is einfach bombastisch und ich mag den neuen Kopf von dem Pisser.

Ich will ja immernoch son Dae lineup machen mit allen Designs, das nenne ich dann "Daevolution" xD
