Ah, so it doesn't matter much if Yuri cannot control Tanya completely; he seems to have a firm hold on Natasha, who is much more dangerous for Yuriko.
I wonder if Yuri will use his and Natasha's common origins to his advantage? Granted, that's a little too Kane-like, but your version of Yuri is certainly wiser than the YR one.
If Tanya manages to escape, Tanya and Yuriko teaming up against Natasha and Yuri will certainly be a treat to watch/read.

Well, i am trying to make Yuri more of a manipulative mastermind that just a mad scientist. I think he can be an intimidating villain if he was written more cleverly.

Oh, but he was clever in Yuri's Revenge ... until the moment he began to gloat. 
(He was great in the Soviet campaign of RA 2, though, which is conveniently non-canon.)

Yeah, i think they kind of dropped the ball there- they needed a reason why the allies would suddenly know to attck one of Yuri's bases, but there were a lot of more reasonable ways they could've done that. It could have been a spy or a satellite scan, without recurring to Yuri just contacting them just to boast about his network.

I would rule out ground-based spying, with Yuri's mind tech. Although a satellite scan would've been better than Yuri himself giving away his plans. I do like that scene because Udo Kier makes Yuri look and sound badass no matter how stupid his MO is.
Ah well, your Yuri is better written here so the outcome won't be as predictable as it was in YR.
