Because why not? Maxwell only has Kanon as her only disciple, but after Kanon rebelled Maxwell has no disciples, that's why in St. Lamia you don't get to fight any disciples of Maxwell
Maxie doesn't want to let go of Kanon mainly because she has no one else to rely on

he and the rest of them go to a place in one of the (not yet release) region, each for different reason ( injury and other stuff), the place was a trap set by some god and all of them fought against each other to survive, while they beat each other up the place seal all of them away

Alpha was there to heal his injury after fighting Zevalhua and Mare
Taser try to fight Alfa Dilith but lost, his friend sacrificed themself to save him, almost got kill but Zurg come in and save him before sending him to a seal ground to rest and heal himself ( the same place as Alpha)
Torah try to find the ritual place ( the same place as the rest) in order to rebel against Cardes. She found the place and got attack by Kira
Kanon try to defeat Maxwell while she was weak, lost and some God (Karna) told him to got to a seal ground to heal ( the same place aswell)
Kira wanted to be the Best so he when and challenge Karna Mastah, lost and got seal in the place, he recover and try to break out, Karna make him a deal, he would sent 5 other Disciple to the place where he was seal, if he beat them, he go free
Feeva was the one that make the seal ground, she was sent there to seal the place up when she got attack by the other 5
this is the simple version of what happen, the translation wasn't very correct and some stuff may have been lost in the translation
