When I heard about the monthly theme, I immediately wanted to design a bridal dress for Lady Gaga, because her style is so theatrical and avant garde, and often highly concept driven. I can just imagine her having the most ridiculous, princessy dress, and adding some twisted element--in this case, the chains, which serve as not only a visual motif and juxtaposition against the lightness and volume of the dress, but are also a statement on the nature of marriage (see the handcuffs and the ball and chain.). This doesn't mean I am against marriage, I just think putting chains on a wedding dress is a very Gaga-esque thing to do.

In a nutshell, this is the iconic "Cinderella" wedding dress for the princess of pop, with some styling inspired by Princess Diana's wedding dress (one of Gaga's early idols). With the advent of "The Fame Monster" and all the monster-related concepts now pinned to Gaga, my thoughts immediately went to the idea of "Bridezilla," both terrifying and humorous. I thought the flamboyant chastity belt was a good mechanism for causing this tranformation.

The skirt is layers and layers of tulle which is lit with LED light that glow softly and change colors, so Gaga glows as she walks down the aisle... It also makes her more scary when the monster is unleashed. Anyway, lots of little details but I think overall pretty self explanatory.
