I was too lazy (and extremely reluctant) to do a genocide run, I downloaded a save file placed just before the sans fight.
Survived his surprise attack on my first attempt.
I play this fight for the music, and the understanding that Sans is the most powerful being next to yourself. Not in terms of strength, but speed and tactics.

yeah, he's a slippery little fucker. super fitting for one of the most subdued guys in the game, especially when his dialog and some secret areas imply some interesting things about him.

I kind of really like the Zombie-Sans style this has! The fur around his collar looks cool, too~ I think my favorite thing, though, is how you drew his hands, with the separate "bones" detached. Something about it just seems so... Sans. Haha~

aw, thank you!! it's not like he or his brother have much to hold themselves together anyway, so i'm glad the barebones gamble there paid off!!
i couldnt even bring myself to start the no mercy run though, omg. i like. pulled up the game once after the pacifist ending, before condemning the save file to a usb to keep them happy forever. the end. basically, you are strong and should be feared, omfg.

Oh my gosh that pun. Amazing, haha! Also I know, right? They barely have anything to hold themselves together, let alone hold something onto them. I still can't figure out how they manage to wear clothes.??
Ahhhh it's breaking my heart, it really is. ; -; Especially with Sans, I love him so much. But the characters the Pacifist run left me feeling 'meh' towards I now love. Papyrus annoyed me, and Sans was dull at first even if I loved his puns. Muffet was my favorite.
After Geno? I can't get enough Sans, and Papyrus made my irl heart 'Game Over' animation. It showed a completely different facet of the characters' personalities. It's so amazing to me that such a simplistic game (on the surface) can make me feel stronger/more varied emotions than any AAA title I've ever played.
The line referenced in your pic was in particular a hit to my heart, ugh. Because I did get dunked on, haha. Sansss I really did want to spare youuuu, failed run or no. ; -; That line nearly made me toss my Geno run.
Still can't beat him, though. > -< -weep- Maybe I just don't have enough determination to beat Sans. -eyebrow wiggle-

DOUBLE MEME'D ON???? FUCK. but yeah!! like really, i wasn't too fussed on favorite characters while playing until i watched the genocide run, so i totally get what you mean there!
it's really cool how the game subverts into a horror atmosphere the moment you start to become the bad guy there too? and the characters don't react like other games with differing endings like that - yno, static and with the same lines with kinda differing spots - they're reacting entirely differently to a flipped atmosphere! so fucking cool.
anyway!! good luck with beating him! holy shit that must be so hard.
