Description
Made forYou will need:
- watercolor paper (I used 200g/m2, cold pressed, acid free);
- a bottle of bubbles;
- watercolor or drawing inks (I used both);
- container;
- a straw;
- you will also need some scrap paper or newspaper to cover things in the working area. The whole thing may turn out to be the dirtiest thing you ever made. (:
Directions:
First, pour some bubbles into a container, and add few drops of ink and watercolor. It's important not to put too much color (It can prevent bubbles from blowing). So, drop by drop you get the right color. Note: you may not need watercolor, but I wasn't satisfied with ink alone. (:
Second, put the paper on newspapers or scrap paper in order to protect bubbles from messing around.. Dip the straw into the liquid you've prepared, place it above the paper.. and.. blow...
Note: If you have hard time making bubbles, here are some tips. Shake or tap the straw before exhaling to let out excessive liquid. Don’t exhale to hard, do it softly. Blow one bubble at once. Practise! Be careful, inky bubbles can fly on your clothes and leave spots.
Last one, let the paper dry completely. Note: it's desirable, no iron, no fan.
Extra: experiment with different colors, size of bubbles, splashes, strength of blowing. Pop bubbles intentionally and have fun.
If you have any questions, you are more than welcome!

please, note me. So many people said they would, but I haven't received any messages so far.
I'm so excited to see any use of this technique.

идея не моя..
узнал я о технике чуть меньше года назад на сайте одной рукодельницы, когда только начинал рисовать. Попробовал - работает. (: здесь такого не нашел и решил поделиться.

okay I really wanna try this but I'm having problems. I don't know how much paint to add to the bubble mix. If I put in to little it doesn't show up on the paper. If I put in more, the bubbles don't blow. I'm only doing this with watercolors, not ink because I only have very permanent, staining ink which I'm afraid to use do I need ink? is that why its not working? help?! please?

Yeah, the problem is that you can't get the right color only with watercolors.. Because in fact they are not paint, they are water + paint. What you need is ink which works better. I'm using mainly drawing ink to color the bubbles, watercolors are only for the desirable soft shade..
Let me help you with the soup solution. You'll need about 4 tablespoons of bubbles soap and 3-4 ink drops. It's also important to stir to even the color. Try and experiment! (:
One more tip : If you haven't blown bubbles in a while, you may forget how it works. get experience with plain bubbles not adding color. See how much air they need and how they flow. And then you'll be ready for messy bubbles.)
I should amend my directions.
