great XD i guess for the fox one you should take some english landscape?? maybe the one around you ... cause it's much easier to draw bgs if you can reference XD
but the other one.... no ideas really?

for the fox one just like moors and citys and alley ways and stuff like in your comic- and for ghost its mountains, feilds meadows hills, forests the lab a cave and a gorge thing like on lion king xD

i actualy enjoyed the shading its very strait and unrealistic, yet realistic, definetly making it have a more of a comic feel ^^ this was my opinion befor i read your comments so ^^
