My part of an art trade with the amazing Valin-Dastari . She asked for a picture based on a one shot fanfic she did for Phantom of the Opera involving her OC Clare and the Phantom himself, Erik. I think she actually asked for the scene where Erik realizes it isn’t Christine and then gets mad and Clare is afraid, but I skipped to a little bit before when he emerges from the dark and she turns around shocked. (Sorry ‘bout that, my brain must have gone a little wonky)

But either way, I hope she likes this. I would have had it done last night, but I wanted to take my time on this because she really is an amazing artist and deserves the best of my work. And look, I actually managed to make a background! I still despise how it came out though. The chairs are really lame, there’s some random sheet thrown onto them (I assume because the Opera house has been vacant for a long time, but still, I executed it poorly and it looks completely random), the stage is just godawful, and the cobwebs are pretty much scribbles. I really despise what happens when I try for backgrounds.

On a lighter note, I’m actually proud of the people! Well, Erik anyway. I’m not quite sure what happened with Clare. Her hair is all wet and hanging down and I was too lazy to look at Christine or any Victorian style dresses so I just slapped something together, just a really poor job with that. But yeah, Erik turned out nicely. His expression is exactly how I wanted it and I think the mask conformed to his face rather well. I admit, I’m disappointed at the vest markings and his legs. But other than that I’m kind of happy with this.
