Well, a lot of people have said that it's a Blok's poem xD Idk if someone posted the original part, but I wanted to...
The poem itself is about Russian/Slavonian nation. Blok compares Russia with a sphynx for showing its power, pride... because only knowing this country's history you would be able to understand why it looks as it looks nowadays.

Reading the translation of poem... I've noticed one thing...
...that "скифы" was translated as "Scythians"... and the black part may be from 'scythe'...0w0
Or maybe it's just a coincidence

Actually, this is a translation of Alexander Blocks' poem "the Scythians" that was written in 1918 right after the revolution. In Russian it goes like:
Ðîññèÿ - Ñôèíêñ. Ëèêóÿ è ñêîðáÿ,
È îáëèâàÿñü ÷åðíîé êðîâüþ,
Îíà ãëÿäèò, ãëÿäèò, ãëÿäèò â òåáÿ
È ñ íåíàâèñòüþ, è ñ ëþáîâüþ!...
(Russia - the sphinx. Rejoicing and grieving, pouring black blood over herself, she stares, stares, stares into you with both hatred and love)
