So maybe you guys will remember that I brought up a problem where I doodle stuff instead of sleeping. Well now it has escalated. Itsead of sleeping I was trying out all the different layer types in Sai to find out what they're for. Low and behold, they are for shading. So I was trying out those layers, and I kept getting those "Oooh what if I did this?" ideas as I was drawing. So I tried out some kind of glowing eye effect. And then smoothing out my shadows. And the moonlight. Basically, I went nuts on Sai instead of sleeping. Yay me.Anyways, did I mention that I love the first encounter? Because I do.

He he, I love how Chloe's sleeping with her tail like that, so cute, but of course Zoey being hypnotized over there is adorable as well, don't worry Zoey the nice tight hug is coming to give you that goofy face that we all love!

Pretty darn cool!~ Nice to hear your taking the time to learn about layers, super super useful! Just remember, there's no such thing as having too many layers! But do be sure to label them appropriately on layer heavy images!
The first encounter was pretty neat and served as the perfect introduction to our scaly friend and gave us some... pretty interesting animation. Though when discussing the plot of TJB, I do tend to prefer the second encounter. Just how the scene starts with Mowgli stumbling about alone, though silent his body language reflects his feeling betrayal and upset and in an interesting twist of Karma he encounters the crafty snake who uses the boy's emotions against him to keep him interested long enough that he's able to catch him off guard. Then you have trust in me and the lapse of animation with that~ but the high point does have to be the confrontation between Kaa and Shere Khan! Just the idea of a villain trying to hide the presence of his captive that the other is also seeking from the other is pretty interesting on it's own so it's no surprise that I really liked that scene! Only thing I really disliked is how Mowgli eventually escaped, that felt lazy to me.

I can say for sure the same scene has been imprinted into my mind as well.
Glad I'm not the only one to find the first encounter slightly more interesting, seems like there's criminally less content for it.

The first encounter was definitely a favorite. I'm not saying the second one was bad, but while it had some things, some things weren't there. The hypno was immediate, and that was no fun. Though, sleepwalking is really nice too.
While the first encounter was a lot quicker than the second, it had something charming about it. I don't have much else to say, other than it was my fav.
