I like the effect that the surface the DNA is resting on has. Almost looks like water. Reflections are awesome. Love the color. Which DNA picture are you talking about? can you link to it or is it out of a physical article? Looks great.

i use bryce 3d and the multi replicate tool ;] then touch it up with photoshop.
