The face is really cool, but i don t really like the "fluidity/smoothing" effect.

Beautiful! His eyes are especially deep.. they positively suck me into the painting ^^ Love the colors in his hair and the way his face stands out from the 'ripples' in the background... it almost looks like he's just surfaced from some sort of pool. Can't wait to see more!

oh wow, this is so cool. i have not yet tried digital painting. it seems really hard, like even if you know how to paint wiht traditional mediums you would have to learn all over again. what program is this?

thank you! I used photoshop cs and painter 5.0 for it.
In my case, I think using traditional medium is much more difficult than digital painting.
In the drawing process, if you have any mistake you can correct it easily when you drawing CG....=3=

it's very rare to see a smudgy piece of art. i like how the background looks fingerpainted, in contrast to the nice clarity of the subject. and i dunno maybe it's a japanese thing but the hair color is superb
