This is an excellent photo, its wonderful interplay of light, shadow and perspective creates a dark, introspective mood that, sadly, I can relate to all too well. It provided great inspiration for my entry in this week's fotoFRIDAY event.

How many times have we all had to do this? You can really relate to it. I love the light in this shot and the silhouette worked out great in a place you don't expect to find it. Good detail thanks to the low F-stop and a really well balanced composition. I love the simplicity and the shadow. The building out the window seems a constant reminder that you can only take a breather... The corperation is everywhere and they are coming for you!

very cool 2nd shot and yet I like that in "a pause in the rat race" I am able to contemplate that situation on my own. This version leaves the whole situation open for interpretation and gets the viewer invovled

Very interesting. Emotive. The b&w palette gives it the necessary depth. The composition is also worth of apreciation: the diagonal shadow looks great with the whole symetry of the image. Very professional!
