Well dear Katia, you seem to have done it again. Totally throwing my emotions in different directions, leaving me wondering how I should exactly be feeling. And the longer I look, the harder it gets to feel like I did before I looked at this photograph. I suppose that is what makes a Photograph successful isn't it? I love it. That's crazy. I think the photos you take of this subject matter are so interesting and so important. Very few photos make me actually squirm in my chair. Good art always provokes some response, and yours really does!!

and taking these photos is important for me too as a photographer.
i mean photojournalism puts you in all kinds of potentially horrific
situations and you have to be calm, impartial, not let any squeamishness
prevent you from documenting the event, so the fact that this group lets me,
no, ENCOURAGES me to come and photograph each performance and behind the scenes
is a very good thing for me. they also want me to start selling my prints of them at
their shows at no profit to them, keeping all money made for myself. just to get their photos
out there, on people's walls, in people's minds. what a bunch, uh?
they're really good kids you know. very sweet.
and yes, i don't see anyone else doing this kind of thing photographically
so in that way too it's important. and yea, a bit of squirming is good for all of us.
