First of all your descriptions always let me feel moved. It's like feeling emotions through text - which is often not possible.
Did you notice one thing? It is blurry but his pupil is as sharp as it could be. For me this looks like panic, seeing dark things moving in the shadows, interested, but afraid at the same moment. hmmm I love photos like this... furthermore you exactly hit the right amount of black and white, it's not too dark and not too white at all.

theres never more beauty than in the expressions of the eyes. This is a perfect setting for that ^^ and i love the title for it. Hide and seek, it can mean the literal game, or to me it says a sort of hide and seek in the terms of a secret or a fear....thats whats great about your work, you can get your own interpretation and it doesnt matter what it is, it will always be powerful
