i love how this can have so many different feelings to different people. different interpretations. the shadows, lighting are great. even though its just an eye....this is still an intense piece. lovely work as always.

I can't stop looking at it. What's blocking the rest of the face--is it a hand right close to the camera, or is it some surface with a hole in it, or is it just part of a face reflected by a shard of mirror?

Kat, don't think I'm guilting you, but, you've caused my failure as a writer. I am without words to measure the value and impression of this work. I feel like a jeweller asked to make a crown fit for God's Messenger, sitting defeated in his stockhouse, saying "but I only have gold and diamonds and all things precious."
I have this line I thought up once in a daze at work: God is the only real artist--the rest of us are students, at best. This project is an A+, no question. You're ruining the grade curve for us, and we love you for it.

I'm looking for the song as we i speak type. It also makes me think of a couple God Speed You Black Emperor! tunes--but then, a lot does. If you haven't heard them, stop everything you're doing right now and find the album F# A #, or the song Dead Flag Blues. But I digress. You're right, quite right. My favourite moment ever is that moment when it (life) does become just too much to bear, and all there is left to do is cry and laugh at the same time (p.s. my least favourite moment ever is that moment when the body decides to cough and burp at the same time, or sneeze and...well, etc.).
