I love the aerial angle. I was in a book store the other day and thought of how cool it would be if I could drill a hole in the ceiling and just watch people and take a photo, I love that you did it and I get to see it

a rail.

i see this beautiful image and the first thing i thought was "that looks just like the camera angle i use in the Sims" ^_^ i play the Sims a LOT and after a time it begins to creep into all your waking thoughts. *hypnotized eyes* so i was thinking, it's sad for me to be so addicted to a PC game.

I am so glad :devslvrmtzn: exposed me to this picture. Fantastic. Has a HCartier-Bresson feel to it with the angle you shot at..and whose library looks like this?? Not mine! Fabulous framing, colour, positioning et al.

It reminded me of this one, because of the angle and the notion of passing/passer by.

To write one good book, you'll need to read a thousand
Great work.
The woman on the left seems to hunger for knowledge a lot..
The man does not.. was it a spontanious shot?.. or was it set up..

looks like you are veering more and more into b/w's, yes?
i think your last 3 works are b/w's.
how are you converting?

new york city? that would be amazing for street photography. lucky you!
how are you converting? - i meant that i assume you
are shooting in colour and converting to b/w in ps?
if so, what method do you use to convert to b/w?
hope you're well, love. x

YES!!! I am so excited! I will be taking a lot of picture there I hope... not at first but once I get settled and everything... It's gonna be great!
I am converting... I used to create a new layer and then I would desaturate it and set it to color mode... now I just desaturate it... how about you, darling?

iamkatia In reply to AlviNem [2005-07-11 00:20:15 +0000 UTC]
i love when people use 'darling'.
i never use desaturate or greyscale. it makes photos look too flat.
i use gradient map and channel mixer - sometimes seperately, sometimes together.
just depends on the photo.
be well, dear.

Oh god. The lady on the left is about to step onto the trap door. She is going to fall through. That is what I noticed the most. Haha. Great shot.
Love,
Maddie.

This is really great, i love the way the people's shadows fall on the floor, the way the books loom over them as if in control of their minds. <3

Oh, well, what in interesting view. Must be the last perspective I'd imagine for a library shot; that's really cool. My favourite part of any type of art is being surprised, being shown what I don't expect.
The poses are natural but still really interesting, especially yer man on the right; the composition is cool, very palpable; and the lighting and colours are great!

but i don't like to alter my street photography.
if this was a 'photo shoot' i would take them out
but not for street work. i have to keep it real.
