whenever i see skating i am always in awe at the skills and grace! i played around with a longboard (which is different in that you don't do tricks with them, you just kind of ride) when i was in jasper and it was lots of fun to just try to stay balanced on there
i've seen crazy skating videos where they move so fluidly and effortlessly, so very inspiring. i'm a sucker for movement.

i had to escape livejournal, it had become a sort of self-imposed disease almost. almost like a weight/false.identity i was carrying around wondering what people thought and using it to assess myself. hard to explain but i feel much lighter.. 
like i've stopped (well...... not entirely!) worrying about nonsense and just kind of take my place in the world and relax into it.
i don't really do much.. and have bouts of feeling non-productive in a world of non-stop vroom vroom vroooooooooom! but i'm feeling peaceful and have an easy-smile and an urge to share it. i figure it's enough.
experimenting with joy, i suppose. how it affects others, how i affect them and how they affect me. one of my favourite thing (and as good fortune would have it, i do it everyday to go to work and move around) is being on the bus. it's such a rich environment! a bit too many gloomy visages, sometimes, but nothing a little sunlight can't brighten. so much stuff to look at and take in.

i am a sucker for movement and grace as well. i am in awe of these skater kids, their fluidity is poetry in motion.
