By dynamism I mean like the difference in distance from the "camera" between the boy and the digimon, The camera angle is angled up slightly. And even the tilt of the windows adds a certain asymmetry to it. Does that make sense? Asymmetry often times equals an interesting picture.

I kinda scaled up the background, out of laziness really, as they're really supposed to be farther away from both the apartment buildings and the bushes. I replicated some of the patches on the bushes, just enough to make you believe they're bushes and not dark smudges, and I did the bare minimum on the windows lol.

Considering they have a minimum of 3 different people to work on shots like those, I'd say you did a pretty good job. Not to mention they have better softwares that require like eight degrees in computer science to use.

Well keep in mind for all of this I was working from a reference. So with regards to the characters, I was just redrawing them. The background is a very pared down version of what was originally there. Yes it's just airbrush, the building behind using the straight line tool and the bushes just keeping in mind that the darker greens will be lower and the lighter ones will be higher and nearer the edges.
