SO this was very fun for me. I imagine all the kids of Hyrule borrow masks and go trck-or-treating, then return to the happy mask shop to compare their loot and party. For this fun piece, I chose to ignore canon details such as the Kokiri's inability to leave forest.I painted this for the Halloween contest at , as well as the "King of Halloween" contest at . We're supposed to decide who we think is LoZ's "King of Halloween" based on whatever criteria we'd like. I think that king would be The Happy Mask Salesman.
Not only does he literally provide people with costumes, his whole business is built around spreading happiness which I think halloween is all about (also spreading scares of course). He also has the two sides of Halloween; the happy, kid-friendly side; and the utterly terrifying WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T GET THE MASK- strangling link side (note the pumpkin to his right ;D)
My favorite game, and my favorite Holiday. yay!

This is absolutely awesome! You've got so many details and characters - like that pumpkin's face looking like the saleman's 'crazy' face. Add in that it is a traditional painting... just so brilliant.
