VERSION: Without Eyelashes/Open Mouth

Inspiration:

I believe I was browsing deviations and I came across duolegur 's gallery. He has numerous cybernetic-looking humanoid
deviations, and though he claims they're pure photomanipulation, I think they're also part 3D modeling. Therefore I came up with the idea to take a portrait and turn it into something as similar as possible without resorting to a modeling program. The "Robot Experiment" series is what I came up with.

Steps for this image:

1.) Obvious blemish removal, small amount of plastic surgery
2.) Removed eyebrows
3.) Cropped face down the center, duplicated - face consists of the same half twice for symmetrical reasons
4.) Balanced skin and bleached it
5.) Recolored and enhanced eyes
6.) Shadow and highlight tweaking, select sharpening

Note:

I'm sorry I layered "Ian Carter" over the image repeatedly but I'm tired of having my work stolen.

Conclusion:

Overall, I'm relatively satisfied with what I created. It's not quite the robotic look but I like it nonetheless.
