-Full view Please-My final first year Uni project, the theme was memory, I decided to take devices that record digital information and integrate them with their human counterparts. It is not supposed to look real as it's a conceptual piece, plus something like this is way too sci-fi for me to even consider trying to make it look realistic =]
I don't really know if I like this piece much or not really, but I've spent so long on it that I'm quite attached to it now, so never mind =]
-Also, that is the first title I could come up with on the spot and probably won't be the final title, I'd love any ideas for names for this, Thanks-

This actually scared the pants off me when I first saw it but it definitely gets a nice literal meaning.
As far as implicit meanings it's kind of lost on it, I don't get as much a memory feel from this as I do a "technology" feel.
Just my perception, and I'm a philosophy nut so this may not apply.
The nitty gritty of it, I disagree with naysaying about the technique because it all looks very deliberate and uniform. The only mar on it is the dark spots around the plugs and ports. Only thing that looks out of place to me.
Very cool, though. Gets my fave.

the theme of technology and memory kind of goes hand in hand with it to be honest, i'm glad you like the deliberate conceptual look, don't think that many people seemed to get that =]

Hi, you're not the first person to say that some bits look too 'neat', i guess i originally intended it to look like that because i wanted it to look conceptual and not realistic, but maybe in retrospect it would've been a good idea to work on the positioning more. I'm glad you picked up on the pixelation too, that was exactly why I put it in =].

I saw ur page yesterday for the first time. And I was going through ur photos and this one caught my attention, most of all because I didn't think it was ur style, compared to the rest of the photos in ur gallery, but u know, that doesn't matter at all, because I believe we all have different sides. I do really like the concept and the way u made it. I've never done any manip before, so I wouldn't know how difficult this is to achieve. I do have to say there's one thing that I would have done (if I was able to

What a wickedly awesome piece! I would have say I do agree with slashcare about the imputs and the "nose-jacks." I also sorta think some of the reds and reflected blues are MAYBE too dense. Anyway...again, very nice work!

Thanks very much, the idea behind it was that it was supposed to look like an obviously computerised photoshopped piece (i know it sounds like an excuse but it's true =]), the idea being that with your memory you see what you want to see a lot of the time, so this is not supposed to be a a '

Ok, I'm going to be a bit critical, cause I'm one of your best friends, and it's a picture of me.
I don't like the top inputs. First, you can see the pixilation round the edge of them both, second, they're too 'dead straight' for my liking.
Nose, still looks a bit.. you know. Plugs in a bit more maybe, I don't know. Btw, I am drunk. Earphones/speakers? Fuck yes, loving them. Loving most of it. Minus sections I've mentioned.
And maybe get rid of the XLR thing, looks a little out of place.

the pixelation has been done on purpose ( wont bore you with the artistic intention =] ), i tried making them wonkier originally but it looked too messy, it's not supposed to look 'real' as such =]
