Description
I got this idea from one of my favorite game characters Pang Tong, originally from Koeis Dynasty Warriors (I love that game
).But I decided to add a little of my own taste by changing the purpose/mood/characteristics of this warrior.
I guess by doing this it will help me improve on my art skills, mainly posturing.
Anyhow, I hope it turned out alright,

It's a really great work in general. The character itself has many great details and feels realistic, the grass is perfect, without any unproper lights or shapes in its surface. The moths (even though similar to butterflies) are very original and greatly made. The moon could definitely have more details, perhaps black and gray spots on its surface to represent all the craters. Cheers! for a job well done.

It says.. Critique Requested. Well I don't want to be a dick or anything but. It seems really - Computer done? Maybe don't rely on so many shortcuts? Which is hard to say if you did because you used Corel. But sweet work!

you've done an excellent job with this picture.
first of all the background is gorgeous and sets the mood for the painting. the moon is mysterious with the intricate swirls of clouds moving throughout its pale glow.
the grass in the foreground is perfect for framing the picture and gives a sense of depth. it puts our characer in the piece. very nice.
the man's uniform is exquisitly painted and i love the pop of color on his sleeves - very effective for this darker piece (being set at night).
the moths surrounding him are perfect and their incandescence adds a touch of surrealism that really adds to the painting.
the fog is well placed and gives it another level of mystery and depth.
the fact that we cannot see the man's face is important - we want more - more information - more detail but we can't have it and it's perfect. his staff makes you wonder about his travels (walking stick). it's very well done as well.
it almost seems as though he is giving his respect to the viewer. i like this very much.
